Matthew Schmitt, Director and Financial Advisor at Baird, has been helping individuals, small businesses and corporations manage their wealth since 1996. He uses his extensive knowledge of investments and private wealth management to develop financial plans for a small group of wealthy individuals from around the country and helps ensure these plans stay on track through a dynamic investment process. Matt takes great pride in putting client interests first and providing exceptional personal service.
Matt holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from California State University, Long Beach, where he graduated on the dean’s list. He was also a high school football all-league wide receiver and recipient of the Dr. James Elliott Outstanding Three-Sport Athlete award in Placerville, California, in 1987. Matt's son is on the fencing team at Columbia University and is a 3 time Men's Sabre National Champion. Matt lives in on a 20 acre farm in Lincoln, Ca. with his wife April and enjoys golfing, working outside and swimming with his family in his spare time.
